Cognition And Learning

Cognition is defined as mental processes. It is how we process information.

There are various types of learning. They include education, personal development, and training. In humans cognitive learning also comes from touching, watching, and listening.

When we observe someone doing something we can learn from it. Today video websites have become popular because people enjoy learning by watching someone do or describe how to do it.

Online webinars are used every day to sell things online. These can be in the form of both audio and video presentations.

Going to college is how people obtain higher knowledge. A professor stands in front of the class and instructs them on the topic students are there to learn about. This is cognitive learning.

It is a mental process we use to store the information in our head. The processes include mental imaging and processing information so we better understand it.

Sometimes this is viewed as passive learning because we are not using are hands or other motor movements. However, as we learn we are actively processing incoming information in a cognitive way.

Cognition and learning are most prevalent in humans. However, animals such as monkeys exhibit cognitive development as well when they imitate what they see from other monkeys or even visitors in a zoo.

Personal development is already a large business industry that thrives on cognition and learning. In his book "Think and Grow Rich" Napoleon Hill wrote that anything we can conceive and believe we can achieve.

People spend billions of dollars every year trying to learn how to be successful. They try and learn how to program their brain to assist them in accomplishing their goals.

People read their goals at night before they go to bed to help program their subconscious mind. The idea is that your subconscious mind will help you believe you can achieve the goals you are reading every night.

This is a process that happens faster for some people than it does for others. However, there are numerous examples of people who have achieved great things in their life following this concept.

Training is another thing that has been proven to work for learning. A good example of this is playing musical instruments such as the piano.

Over time you can learn what sound is going to come out when you play a note you see in a musical book. You can train yourself to do play the piano regardless of whether you can do so right now.
